Ethan's First Day of Nursery!

Today was Ethan's first "official" day of nursery at church! Being that he is our first born, and we are obsessive parents anyway, we decided to document as much of this momentous occasion as we could. As you can see from the video, he seemed to love it! I teach Primary, so Jake stayed in nursery with him during Sunday school and was finally kicked out for the third block so that Ethan could get used to being alone with his new teachers and the other kids.

I was anxious the whole time of course, even though I knew he wouldn't have a problem, but all I have to say is thank goodness for one way mirriors that allowed us to check on him whenever we wanted. It's bittersweet, but our baby is growing up! Hooray for the nursery boy!

(P.S.) Ethan and Alex Bills (the cute little blonde boy) were born on the same day so they got to go in together. There is also another little girl, Lilly who was born a few days after them so today was her first day too! They ended up splitting the nursery into an older and younger group for the third block because we have so many nursery kids now!

Jake and Ethan here, reporting from man-ville, USA. Emma is out and about doing Mom stuff, so we're kicking back, doing manly stuff today. We're drinking Dr. Pepper, eating beef jerky and icecream, and watching movies ALL IN OUR NEW FORT! Ethan had so much fun in the tent when we've gone camping and he loves to play under blankets or sheets so I figured we'd bring the fun indoors. We brought in the lantern and read just about everysingle book Ethan could get his mits on. :-) Ethan has had a blast in the fort and he has only pulled it down "on accident" 3 or 4 times. :-) We've used only the finest materials in building this fort that will withstand all time. 4 sheets( the nice ones )3 blankets, 1 broom, 2 lights from IKEA, one fan that can move up and down, 1 sofa, 1 couch and 1 tv= AWESOMENESS!!!!!Maybe we'll go out later and shoot something, only time will tell.

Goodbye to Superman

Two days ago we sold "Superman", the Jeep. It was a sad day indeed, but we needed a new car for our growing family, and regrettably, it had to be done. We have had so many great memories with this car, it seemed a shame not to pay some kind of tribute to it, somehow. So here I sit, blogging, recalling all the memories this vehicle has been a part of.

This is the car that I met Jake in, in High School. "Your Jake with the Jeep, right?" I said to him when he introduced himself for the first time in Acappella. Superficial I know, but I loved that car the first time I saw it - just like the cute boy who drove it!

It's been through countless drives to Squaw Peak (no, NOT for the reason y'all are thinkin'!), long talks, wonderful friends, had impecable detailing by Dad Hansen, been off roading in the Utah mountains and has seen my husband (and I) through many years of life. Many of you will laugh at this, but we even had our first kiss in that car!

So, alas we say goodbye. Goodbye Superman, and may your new owners be as good to you and appreciate you as much as we did!

Oktoberfest!!!

For everyone who has been DYING to see a recent picture of my belly, here's to you!

This is Jake with "Charlie the Unicorn". Well not really, but you could imagine. If you really want to know more, talk to Jake. Further information will either disgust you or make you laugh your head off. Just a warning...:)

Ethan's first carnival ride! He went on the carousel and rode the Giraffe with Daddy. We got some great footage on our video camera, but I have no idea how to transfer it, so you'll just have to imagine how much fun this kid had. He loved it! Every time he came around he would laugh at me. (It probably helped that Jake kept tickeling him though too...) Oh, and did I mention that Jake sweet talked the Mexican ticket guy into going on the ride for free? Nice, baby. Nice.

At the end when we were tired, we sat down and watched a ventriliquist for a while. He was amazing! I don't know how the heck they do that!

Overall it was a great time! They had rides, music, chicken hats, popcorn, contests and tons of booths where Jake was in heaven winning free stuff. We even got this little bank from Century 21 that we used for our family night tonight. (We spray painted it black, glued on an old missionary tag of Jake's and made it Ethan's mission savings bank for his room. It was Jake's idea - isn't my husband so brilliant?! It turned out way cute...more pictures to follow.)
Anyway, we managed to see pretty much everything and even stayed sober! What a feat for us Mormons! Hooray for Oktoberfest, the fall season and especially cooler weather!

This ones for you Erin. This ones for those many many many late night taco bell runs.
This ones for the thousands of B-ball games we played at the REC center and everytime we played the guy guarding you would say " she's a girl, she's tall, she can't handle the ball". Then you'd take em to school down low and post the heck out of him. Then he'd say " I'm not going to guard her out side, she's won't be able to hit the 3". And after about your 4th or 5th 3 pointer in a row everyone on the court was chanting your name. :-)
This one is for you because I was automatically considered cool at school because I was "Erin's little brother". :-)
This ones for loving Dr. Pepper just as much as I do.
This ones for choosing to be and incredible Mom and wife instead of going to the WNBA like you could have sooooooo easily.
and so so so so much more.
I have so many awesome memories growing up and most of those are because I had a best friend as a sister who was always there for me.

Jake and I took Ethan to the Addison fountains a little while ago and it was so funny! I promise we're not TRYING to give him a mouthful of water - poor kid! We are so mean! Good thing he loves the water. (And yes, I am wearing Jake's shorts, and no, I am not wearing a prego swimsuit like I should be. I just squeeze my huge self into a normal swimsuit...that's why I look so stunning in this footage.) Also, Jake just got done with his two week break and is back at school now, so we're back in the saddle again. Trimester 4! We're ALMOST half way there! Geesh this school thing lasts forever! He's brilliant though, doing great and we know it will be worth it in the end. We're so proud of you honey! Go Jake!!!

Scottish Festival

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!!!!!( For all you BraveHeart fans, edited version of course). Well, last night our Ward had a Scottish Festival. It was a blast. I know that sounds random, a Scottish Festival. The long story short is that we have one older brother in our Ward who is soooo proud of his Scottish heritage and he hasn't been given to much longer to live due to Cancer, so to honor him and show our love, the ward threw a " Scottish Festival". Our activities Chair person Sis. Harris made about half the men in the Ward a Kilt. Full blown Kilts. She even made one for Ethan, he looked like such a stud. :-) The ward was divided into 2 clans. The "McMormons" and the " McNephi's". We were part of the McNephi clan. We ate authentic Scottish dishes while being serneded by some great bagpipe music. After we were stuffed we played some highland games. We competed in Caber Tossing and boulder throwing. ( Caber tossing is where they pick up the telephone poles and throw them. We had swimming noodles. And the boulders were beach balls sprayed in a foam.) Our clan won! So we get our Clan colors posted on the ward bulletin board until next years event. :-) It was a lot of fun. You'll have to pardon the video. Our camera wasn't really made for doing quality video but you'll be able to get a taste of what was going on.

Jake's Birthday Party!

Here are some pictures from Jake's birthday party!!!

We had it at a park near our apartment. We ate lots of cake, ice cream, and root-beer floats, I proclaimed 27 of the reasons that I love Jake, and we all just got to hang out. The kids loved the playground, the husbands loved the large area of grass (they played football, frisbee and soccer all night), and the wives enjoyed being able to chat. Towards the end we had a little bit of a waterballoon throw at the guys too - to cool off their hot ego's about triumphantly kicking eachothers tails at sports. I was too busy hosting to get any really good pictures though. (Anyone want to share your pics? )

As some of you might know, Jake had a birthday a couple of days ago! I slacked on my wifely duties and was so busy with all of the party arrangements, that I didn't have time to get this post out on the big day. (Babe, I hope you'll forgive me.) However, I still wanted to pay a tribute to the man I know and love, and share with the world some of what has helped mold him into the amazing person he is. So, without furthur adeu, here he is. Over the weekend we took so many pictures that we decided to do an "Amerithon" of pictures for everyone to see. The first batch is from the actual fourth of July day, and the second batch is from Kaboomtown which happend on the third of July. We had such a wonderful time together as a family, (Jake was off for school) and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We are so greatful for our freedom! Happy Independence Day everyone!

Every year the city of Addison does a HUGE fireworks production to celebrate America. It's called "Kaboomtown" - and the name fits! This year we went with Clark and Jo Rudd (Emma's cousins) and met up with a bunch of other friends while we were there. It was AMAZING. Besides the incredible show of fireworks, there was a ton of music and other festivities to enjoy. Jake went around to all the booths and tried to win free stuff (of course...and he took Ethan as bait) and Emma spent almost the whole night painting faces on friends and even a few strangers. (We charged the strangers a buck each...next year we're setting up a booth!) Here are some details:

Ethan is practicing his dance moves. We wish we had more video of it but at least you'll get the idea of how he entertains us whenever he hears a good beat. In this case, it was the Tuba that got him going.

At Kaboomtown there were a bunch of planes doing loop-dee-looos and all sorts of tricks that were so cool to watch! They even had one person strapped to the top of one of the planes while the pilot flew all over the place... amazing! This video is just a taste of some of the cool things they were doing. Enjoy!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

What a blessing it is to live in this incredible country! :-) I can honestly say, with my every all " I'm proud to be an AMERICAN". I don't know what is different about this year compared to others but I feel so humbled and incredibly invigorated to be an American. We even went on a 4th of July craft spree at the Hobby Lobby. We now have US flags dotting every corner of the house and the words "Freedom, liberty, and God bless the USA " all over the place. In honor of the day we've decided to attempt being as all American as humanly possible. We are going to first start off the morning with a flag raising at our church followed by a good ol American breakfast. Then we're going to play some baseball ( big American past time) followed by some slushies from Sonic.( Sonic is American, not Canadian, Mexican, or anything else ending en an :-) In between meals Emma is going to make an all American apple pie since apple pie is as American as it gets. We then plan to have a sweet ol' BBQ( hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon etc...) with all the fix ins. We're then going to indulge our sweet tooth with Root beer and Dr. Pepper ice cream floats. Also American.

We'll then make our way to the swimming pool to cool off a bit before we end the night watching the Jets flying by, and the night sky being lit up by the fireworks, surrounded by friends.

For anyone who has ever lived outside the country or has traveled a lot, it is so easy to count our many blessings living here, in the United States of America, the greatest country , the promised land on God's green earth. I hope we all truly know how fortunate we are. May our Heavenly Father bless and keep safe all those who are fighting for FREEDOM, to keep us and all of our privileges safe. May we continue to keep them and their families in our prayers and when ever we see someone in Uniform, or someone who has served our country, thank them and let them know they are being prayed for.

We almost got drenched by a fountain outside the Dr. Pepper ballpark when we were taking this picture. Apparently it comes on automatically every few minutes. We doged it just in time, but I don't think the boys would have minded if we hadn't.

Just checking the score
A few weeks ago we went to a Minor League Baseball game at the Dr. Pepper stadium in Frisco. We chose tickets for the outfield seating - the grass - which turned out to be perfect for an active 1 year old, not to mention a fantastic view! We had so much fun! The Texas Rough Riders killed the other team by a long shot, so it wasn't too intense, but it was just great to be together as a family anyway. Ethan had about 5 million goldfish crackers while we watched, so we're pretty sure he enjoyed his first semi-pro ballgame.

Alright everyone. I need an opinion. I put the little "Babystrology" countdown clock on our blog because I thought it would be cute, and it also helps me remember how much longer it will be until Lucky gets here (it's the little black box to the right with the baby in it...). However, Jake thinks it is completely hideous and that the baby inside it looks like an alien. He even makes wierd alienish sounds when he talks about it. We just found out that Ethan is going to be the big brother.......of a baby brother. :-D
We are so excited that we don't have to say in our prayers " and please bless baby brother or sister". Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has done so much for our family to asure that Emma and the babies are doing well. The Hansen family is expecting a new member this November! We are so excited and cannot wait to meet this eager little spirit and welcome it into our family!

We found out on St. Patrick's Day, and to honor that Emma has decided to nickname this little one "Lucky" - we hope it fits! The doctors say that everything is looking wonderful so far. Emma is currently at 13 weeks and the official due date is on November 19th. She's doing GREAT! A little nauseated and tired, but we expected that since it comes with the territory. Her Diabetes is under control, and she has been working hard to keep her blood sugars perfect. The doctors are very pleased so far. We haven't seen an ophthalmologist yet, but are optomistic about the retinopithy that occured in her eyes when she was pregnant with Ethan, because it almost completely diminished after he was born. (Something OUR ophthalmologist did not anticipate, but we found out from other sources that it's actually very common for it to go away after the birth. Needless to say, we are NOT using the same eye doctor for this pregnancy.)

We thank all of you for your love and concern, especially those of you who have been so supportive and excited. It really means so much to us! We love you all! Thank you!

Eggs and Ducks

The other day, Jake and I were hanging out together with Ethan and out of nowhere Jake said, "I want to go throw an egg at a duck". Now this is ironic for three reasons: 1.) the ducks that hang out in our back yard are one of Jakes favorite things in our apartment complex 2.) Jake dosn't usually do things like this - especially in the middle of the day and 3.) where in the world did that impulse come from?!? After laughing about this for at least a minute I realized that he was serious and proceeded to watch him get two eggs out of the refrigerator and walk outside to our back patio.

The first attempt was thrown with all his might and, fortuanately for the ducks, a tree branch took the brunt of the blow. In order to redeem himself from his first try, the second throw was aimed inbetween the two tree branches and once again, suffered the fate of the first. (Although in Jakes defense, it was a rather tough shot.) I am happy to say that no ducks were actually harmed in this process, and Jake still felt relieved of whatever agression had been built up inside him.

Needless to say, it was a very productive day of vacation.

Well Trimester 2 of 9 is done and I have a 2 week break before #3 begins. Hoooooooray for vacation!!!! So we went on a much needed camping trip to Okalahoma with Dan and Becca (Emma's sister ) It was a blast. Ethan had the time of his life with his two adorible cousins Margie and Jakey. They had so much fun eating dirt, leaves, bugs, sticks, rocks etc... We played in a warm Sulphor river that Ethan and the kids had a ball in. He did not want to get out. We drank about 2,000 Dr. Peppers, had foil dinners and Smores and enjoyed the night sky full of stars. ( I didn't think Stars still existed, who knew?)Later that night when we were all cozy in our tents we could hear that we had a little visiter in the camp but since we had put the garbage up high and the rest of the food was in the coolers, we didn't think much of it. Boy were we wrong. We woke up the next morning and found that a racoon and opened up the coolers and found a bag of Granola bars and suckers and drug them off and ate ALL OF THEM. I'll show you a little video of it.
It was a fuuuuuuuun trip. Hooooooooray for camping!!!

For Ethan's Birthday this year we had a party with our friends, the Bills, whose boys were also both born on April 6th. We went to a park, had hot dogs, cake and a lot of fun! We also had a little party for Ethan at home too where he opened presents and had even MORE cake! We loved watching him dig in! We can't believe our baby is 1 year old!

For my birthday, Jake decorated the house with streamers and put these "Happy Birthday" signs all over the house. Literally, they were everywhere - inside cupboards, on the walls, in the shower, on Ethan's highchair...EVERYWHERE! It was so much fun to wake up to! This was my favorite location that I found them in.

Apparently Ethan picked out all the sprinkles and colors for my birthday cake. Jake thought it was ugly but I thought it was perfect:)!

There were balloons all over the floor, so I had to swim in them! (Notice there are more b-day signs on the floor too?)

I had the best birthday this year!!! Jake woke up EXTRA early and made me breakfast in bed, he decorated the whole entire house, and I didn't have to cook anything! We had Olive Garden for lunch and PF Chang's for dinner...(that's how Jake cooks! Yummo!) and Jake even watched Ethan while I went to Cold Stone for some birthday ice cream with my friend Stephanie. At the end of the day we had a small shindig with some friends and ate more cake. It was awesome! I have everything I ever wanted for my 25th birthday! I love my sweethearts! Thanks Jake and Ethan, for making my birthday so special! I love you!

These are the invitations I made for Ethan's 1st Birthday party this year. He is having a joint party with our good friends the Bills' two boys, Sam and Alex, since they were all born on the same day (April 6th). We went to check out a new park the other day and were pleasantly suprised! It was a very cool one! It even has these swings that you can sit on together and just watch the ducks, people, flowers...whatever. I think Ethan really liked swinging. It was a good day.

The other night for dinner we gave Ethan some ravioli with Marinara sauce and he decided to show us what he could create with it. We thought we could see a landscape or perhaps even a lily pond in there somewhere, but we're not sure. It's a bit like finding shapes in the clouds or in ink blots - you have to have a good imagination. We now refer to him as "our little Monet" whenever he does this because it's a mess up close, but when you look back on it, it's just adorible. Needless to say, we think this kid's got a bright artistic future.

The story of St. Patrick's Day begins around 385 AD with a man named Maewyn. At age 16, the Pagan Maewyn was sold into slavery, which brought him closer to God. He finally managed to escape slavery six years later and headed to a monastery in Gaul to study, where he adopted the Christian name "Patrick." Upon ending his studies, he moved to Ireland, where he felt his calling in life was to convert Pagans to Christianity. For the next 30 years, he traveled throughout the country, setting up monasteries and converting the natives. After his death in 461 (on March 17) he was declared a saint.

Now when we think of this day, we usually get an image of the shamrock in our head. You see it on the sides of buildings, on hats and clothing, on balloons and decorations. Why? Its origins are rooted in Patrick himself. He used the shamrock as a way to show how he believed the trinity works: with three separate elements being part of the same entity.

Interesting, huh? Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody!

A Donation to the American Diabetic

The other day I got an envelope addressed to me from my sister Eliza. On the front of the envelope was a cute little pink address label, and on the back was a sticker that said "Paralyzed Veterans of America" along with a note that read, "You will understand inside".

Inside, was a check for $5.00 made out to me (Emma), a note, and a reciept from the American Diabetes Association. Apparently, my sister has been recieving free address labels from the PVA and/or ADA, feels guilty about it, and thought that she should make a contribution. Instead of sending the money to the ADA though, she sent it directly to me because she said, "....instead of 75% of my money going to them, I figured that 100% of my dollar could go to you!" She even gave me suggestions on what I could do with the $5.00, including buying "a new binky", "candy candy candy" (which I thought was ironic...:), "two jugs of milk", "1 1/2 gallons of gasoline", "lip gloss", "Ben and Jerry's" (also ironic...:), "a flower for your kitchen table", and a "hair pretty".

I just about peed my pants when I read this. Eliza, you are the funniest person I have ever known.

An Afternoon Walk

Yesterday, Ethan and I went for a little walk together around our neighborhood. He loves our walks, but more often than not he tends to get a little impatient with having to "watch" everything instead of "experiencing" it. So, we stopped at a place that had a good bunch of green grass (which is hard to find in our area right now because it's all dead and itchy), and I let him explore. As soon as I put him down though, he looked at me with a quizzical expression and his little bare feet slowly started moving up and down, hands clinging onto me for dear life. I finally picked him up and he looked down at the ground as if in disgust. I guess the grass was a little dryer than we thought.

We just heard the new's about our beloved Prophet, President Hinckley's passing. What an incredible legacy of faith!! :-) Emma and I were talking at General Conference about everything this sweet man has accomplished and we thought, he has lived such a wonderful life and his service and deeds to mankind and the Lord's work is inmeasureable, that the Lord just told him, "Hey, whenever your ready to come home you just let me know.". Indeed his work was done, and then some. :-) We are so happy he is with his sweetheart again! The Gospel is True! Truely this man was a Prophet of God.This is the Prophet that we grew up under; Through Jr. High, High School, the Mission, the first 4 years of marriage and with our first child.

Here is the last Testimony we heard from him in General Conference;

“I hope that all of you will remember that on this Sabbath day you heard me bear my witness that this is God’s holy work. The vision given the Prophet Joseph in the grove of Palmyra was not an imaginary thing. It was real. It occurred in the broad light of day. Both the Father and the Son spoke to the boy. While We were in Utah for Christmas, my mom gave me a CD of a bunch of random pictures that she had taken at our Wedding, 4 years ago. I thought they were worth seeing again...just for fun. I couldn't believe how much everyone has changed since then! Anyway, it's great to look back. Besides, who WOULDN'T want to relive that day?!? Enjoy!

Utah for Christmas

For Christmas this year, Jake's parents gave us an awesome present...they flew us out to Utah!!! We were so happy that we were able to see so many family members and friends while we were out there, and we miss everyone so much already! We cannot express how much it meant to us and how grateful we are to have had the opportunity to visit everyone. Ethan especially enjoyed playing with all of his cousins, getting loved on by all of his Grandmas, Grandpas and Pagahs and Aunties and Uncles, and just getting spoiled rotten!

We had a little trouble with our flights at first, so when we did finally arrive in Utah, it was Christmas eve, Ethan had a blowout, and we were so exhausted that we decided to wait to drive and see family until Christmas day. Sooooo (and here's the best part) we went to a Chineese buffet for Christmas eve dinner. It was so great! It was Ethan's first Christmas eve and we had already become the family in the "Christmas Story". (Jake even asked the waitress if he could pay someone to come out and sing, "Fa ra ra ra raaaaaa, ra ra ra ra!" - she just looked at him funny.) The food was great though, and it was a lot of fun! Then we sang Christmas hymns, watched "Joy to the World" and read from Luke 2. It was a Christmas we'll never forget! What a wonderful time of year when we get to celebrate our Savior's birth!

After that we got to see everyone, go target shooting in Bicknell, ride 4 wheelers, hike in the snow, make christmas tree ornaments, go to a basketball game, play guitar hero, eat delicious vegetarian pizza and IBC - among other fabulous things, go OUT to dinner with our AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL parents, celebrate a birthday with our brother in law, bring in the new year with confetti and streamers and "Nacho Libre", play lots of fun games, and sleep...without any other care in the world. We needed that. We love vacation.

4 Year Anniversary!

Hooray for for years! For our anniversary, Jake decorated the house with a bunch of signs that said, "I love you" and "Happy Anniversary" - (and I thought he woke up early to study:) and took his last final. Hooray! To celebrate everything, including the end of Jake's first trimester, we went to the Dallas temple and performed sealings. It was such a wonderful experience. We thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers on Jake's behalf, and especially thank our Heavenly Father for the spiritual guidence and support that we were given.

For dinner we went out to an awesome restaurant called "Texas De Brazil" - its a Brazillian (obviously) Churrascaria where they bring tons of meat to your table and you just eat as much as you want. Needless to say, Jake was in heaven and I was too becuase they have the best salad bar I've ever experienced. Mmmmmmmm! Ethan also got to hang out with two of his favorite people, Juan and Steph Collao all night, so I guess you could say we all had a pretty great time. 4 Wonderful years, a definite sucess!

We wish you all a very very very very very very Merry Christmas!!!! We have so much to be greatful for. This Christmas is going to be a little more special to us than any other because of Ethan. He's Healthy, and happy, and we are so so so greatful he is our's.

Well, we figured since it's been a month since Thanksgiving, that we post some of our pictures from it. We went to Emma's sister's house( Becca and Dan Martin) in Oklahoma and had a blast with them. We forgot to take a picture of the Thanksgiving spread, but here are some fun shots of the kiddies. The best part about the whole day is that our Turkey was a Dr. Pepper turkey. No joking, no kidding around.( would I joke about Dr. Pepper?) The Turkey had soaked in DP the night before and it was so so so so so so so so goooooooood. Most of the pictures are of us and going on a walk after the big meal, Ethan and Dad watching football and of Ethan just being Ethan. Here ya go

For Ethan's first Halloween, the flu seemed to be visiting the masses. So when we went to our ward "Fall Festival" and everyone thought that Emma had picked up some ailment due to our african safari tour, we didn't correct them. (We were on safari and Ethan was a lion...). Needless to say, Emma was feelling horrible, but refused to miss our son's first Halloween party, so we went anyway.
Then on Halloween night we were about to go Trick or Treating for Ethan's first time, and Jake got sick. So we ended up staying at home and watching the Charlie Brown Halloween Special and carving our pumpkins. We even got some trick or treaters! We don't think Ethan minded too much because we gave him his first taste of candy from a butterscotch flavored lollipop. He kept staring at us with pleading eyes to give him more, and I must admit, we gave in a couple of times. We even tried some new flavors. He just looked so cute and full of such joyous childhood wonder! And so, the love of sugar begins!

Last week we had the privilige of borrowing Laurel (Jake's sister) and Camryn (our neice) from their family and we partied like crazy! Ethan loved having his cousin in Texas to show him the ropes and play with him (and his pacifier...:)! We had SO much fun! We went to the State Fair, drank lots and lots of Dr. Pepper, stayed up WAAAAAAAAAAAY past midnight every night and we now find ourselves wishing they were still here! We love you Albrechts!

Emma and Ethan went to a pumpkin patch last week.(while Jake was in school. Blast the persuit of higher education) As you can see, they had a fun time. Well as most of you know, we had a fun little vacation in the hospital this week. Emma got to get pushed around in a wheel chair, she got her blood checked about every 6-8 hours, she was pumped full of drugs that made her see pink elephants and dancing bears, x-ray's, CT scans, and some other fun rides. She is doing well now, thanks to everyones prayers and faith. She has pericarditis, which is an inflamation of the pericardial sac of the heart due to a virus she had. But all is looking well. She's exausted but is very greatful for everyones faith and continued prayers.Ethan and I missed her like crazy but luckily we have wonderful friends who have really been there for us. We love you Emma!!!!( The pictures are of Emma holding Ethan for the first time in 3 days. We surprised her just before going to bed. Ethan and some of our friends made her some pertty flowers'.)

This guy is growing sooooo fast!!! Every time we're around someone who has a baby that is about 4 or 5 months old, they think Ethan is the same age. We found a brand new Johnny jumper on craigslist for $6 and we couldn't pass it up. The lady we got it from had recieved 3 of them for a shower. Score!!!! He loves it! Even when he's been in it for too long and he starts to fuss or cry, he still bounces. It's funny. So let's see. He is 5 1/2 months old, still in the 99% for height and weight, he's rolling over like crazy, sitting up like a pro and is the still the apple of Mom's eye and the bacon of Dad's. (We also threw a couple of him sleeping after his workouts)

Ethan has been sick and has also had thrush in his mouth, so we put some Gentian Violet in his mouth to kill it. We had to take some pictures. The others are of him when he was feeling sick so we put him in the Laundry basket right after we had taken the clothes out of the Dryer. He loooooooooooooooooved it.
